The Merelli Family
Three generations united by one passion: an oven, a pizza, and a place in Valle Seriana where people keep coming back.
Alessandro Merelli
The founder · 1936Alessandro acquired the building in 1936, laying the first stone of what would become a landmark for Orezzo and the Valle Seriana. His intuition — recognising the potential of the place — is where everything began.
Tarcisio Merelli
Master pizza maker · 1959–presentTarcisio opens the inn on 31 December 1959. His passion for bread ovens leads him to build them himself — and in 1989 he reaches the final of the Naples Centenary of the Margherita pizza. A rare achievement for a Bergamo craftsman, still a point of pride for the family.
In the 1990s he transforms the inn into a pizzeria, together with his family, inventing the name still used today.
Efrem Merelli
Second generationTarcisio's son, Efrem supports his father in the transformation into a pizzeria. He carries on the family tradition with careful attention to ingredient quality and customer care.
Laura Merla
The heart of the familyEfrem's wife, Laura has been an integral part of running the place since the pizzeria's early days. Her presence contributes to the genuine warmth that customers remember.
The Merelli family never stopped believing that the place mattered as much as the pizza. And perhaps that is why people keep coming back.
